IBMC #10: The Happiness Challenge

Welcome to the last task. This one is pretty easy!
“Happiness is … ”

Complete the sentence and grow it. Keep it a maximum of five hundred words or less.

Happiness is…

Writing and having people appreciate and understand it. It is finishing a row of stitches on that knitted sweater and realizing none of them went awry. It is finishing crochet project and loving the texture,

Happiness is…

Loving what I write, and writing because I love it. It is that one story that came out beautiful on the first try. It is realizing that I need to work harder on the new plot, but that I’ll make it.

Happiness is…

Yarn and how beautifully it wraps around the hooks and needles. It is the swirl of all the loops.

Happiness is…

Rain and petrichor.

Happiness is…

Knowing that every moment of my life, the bad ones and the sad ones, the good ones and the incomprehensible ones, the forgotten ones and the ones burnt into memory, all contributed in some way to bring me to where I am now. It is knowing that whatever hardships come my way I will make it.

Happiness is…

Being content with what I have and what I was given, and striving toward the better things. It is knowing that there are things that I don’t deserve, but I can never afford to not appreciate it.
